Here is a 'virtual' tour of this site to give you an idea of what to expect if you visit:

Brooadcroft Quarry is a delightfully scruffy place!

Abandoned by the quarrymen nature has taken it back

The quarry workings are not so evident here, it is quite gentle terrain

In the quarried areas wild flowers and grasses abound

There are paths to follow or you can wander off into the surrounding areas

It may look neglected and overrun but it is expertly managed by Dorset Butterfly Conservation in the best interests of the wildlife that thrives there

Look for orchids on the grassy areas in particular

In summer you will find butterflies in all of the reserves diverse habitat
